Reader subscriptions

A paid Reader subscription provides access to the Reader area of The Joyful Retirement.

Reader content may include:

• new content and discoveries added throughout the month

• other Reader benefits introduced from time to time.

The content and format of The Joyful Retirement may evolve. We may add, change, replace or remove individual features, articles, resources or sections as the publication develops.

Subscription plans and payments

Reader subscriptions may be offered on a monthly or annual basis.

The price and billing frequency applicable to your subscription will be clearly displayed when you sign up.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

By becoming a paid Reader, you authorise the applicable recurring payment for your chosen subscription plan.

All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.

Cancelling your Reader subscription

You may cancel your Reader subscription at any time.

When you cancel, future automatic renewal payments will stop. You will normally continue to have access to Reader content until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Cancellation does not ordinarily provide a refund for the unused portion of a current subscription period where you have simply changed your mind, subject always to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Instructions for managing or cancelling your subscription are available through your Reader account.

Founding Readers and complimentary access

From time to time, The Joyful Retirement may provide complimentary or promotional Reader access, including access offered to Founding Readers.

Any specific conditions applying to complimentary or promotional access will be explained when that access is provided.

Complimentary access has no cash value and cannot be transferred to another person unless we agree otherwise.

Reader accounts

Your Reader account is for your personal use.

You are responsible for keeping your account and login details secure and should not knowingly allow another person to use your account to access paid Reader content.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, please contact us.

We may suspend or terminate access where an account is being deliberately misused, shared without permission or used in a way that seriously breaches these Terms.

Books and digital resources

We may make books, e-books, guides, printables and other digital resources available either as part of Reader access or as separate products.

Some digital books and resources may be provided to Readers at no additional charge while their Reader access remains active.

Unless otherwise stated, digital content is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only.

You may download or print resources for your own use where that functionality is provided, but you may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish or share them with others without our permission.

Third-party book purchases

Some books or other products featured on The Joyful Retirement may be sold and fulfilled by third-party retailers, publishers or distribution platforms.

Where you purchase directly from a third party, that purchase is also subject to the third party's applicable terms, delivery arrangements and policies.

Gift Editions

Selected books may be available as Gift Editions purchased directly from The Joyful Retirement.

Gift Editions may include a printed book together with additional presentation or gift items as described on the relevant product page.

Gift Editions are currently available for delivery within Australia only.

Where offered, you may provide a personalised message to be included with the gift. We reserve the right not to include wording that is offensive, unlawful or otherwise inappropriate.

Photographs of Gift Editions are provided as a guide. Packaging, presentation and individual items may vary slightly from those shown, although we will aim to provide an equivalent standard and overall presentation.

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details, including the recipient's name and address. Additional delivery costs may apply if an order has to be resent because incorrect delivery information was supplied.

Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and may be affected by postal or courier services and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this section.

Unless otherwise stated, the original content of The Joyful Retirement is owned by or licensed to us.
